Tutorials: Any Sound Recorder - Record & Edit & Play Sounds


	Any Sound Recorder Tutorial Any Sound Recorder provides some tutorials to help you begin learning new areas of the multimedia utility. You can work through the tutorials step by step. See help manual of setup package for more information.

	Record Sounds Method One: You can easily use Recording Wizard to customize Any Sound Recorder recording actions step by step. Press Recording Wizard button() in play&record control bar or click Recording Wizard menu item from Play&Record menu to popup Recording Wizard dialog. Summaries of recording setting are displayed in the list box when Recording Wizard dialog popups. Double click the list box item to change the recording options in Recording Wizard dialog. Step 1: Customize recording source device options. Double click these list box item to popup Sound Device porperty page. If you have multiple sound cards, or a single card that has multiple inputs, you can choose one of them from the Recording Device drop-down list. You can also choose the follows: Channel mode-Stereo or Mono; Sample Rate; Sample Format. Any Sound Recorder is able to automatically detect the recording formats your sound card supports. The supported sample rates of the selected recording device are shown in the Sample Rate drop-down list. Step 2: Customize recording sound source options. Input source(such as Microphone, Stereo Mix, CD Audio, Line In, Aux, Mono Out etc.) and input volume can be changed in Recording sound source configuration dialog. Note: you can also change these parameters from Play&Record control bar. Step3: Modify recording file output options. You can choose auto-name file options(Automatically save recording audio to file, file type format, file name rule etc.) and file output encoding options(WAV, MP3, OGG etc. encoding options). Step4: Customize Advance recording options. You can change more paramters(Time Limit, Edit Sound Recording Mode, Directly Save Sound to File Recording Mode, Silence Detection Algorhmns and Actions, etc.) in Advance recording options page of options dialog. Step5: Press Reord button in Recording Wizard dialog to start your recording work. Method Two: Use Options dialog() to customize your recording work. Combine Play&Record Control Bar to prefrom recording work. Step1: The oprations of Method One almost can be finished in Options dialog. You can directly modify those recording settings in Options dialog. Step2: Choose input source by Input Source(such as Microphone, Stereo Mix, CD Audio, Line In, Aux, Mono Out etc.) button on Play&Record control bar. Step3: Adjust input volume by input volume silder bar and playback volume by playback volume slider bar on Play&Record control bar. Step4: Press Record button to start your recording work on play&record control bar. Method Three: If you have already customized your recording options, you can directly press Record button to start recording work.


	Play Sounds To play a sound: Choose Open from the File menu. Find and select the sound you want to play. Choose the Open button. A waveform is shown in main window. Choose the playing button on the play&record control bar. To play part of a sound: Open the sound, as above. Select the part of the sound you want to play. Press the playing button on the play&record control bar. To play loop part of a sound: Open the sound, as above. Select the part of the sound you want to loop. Press loop play button() to down status. Choose the playing button on the play&record control bar.

	Edit Sounds Any Sound Recorder provides most useful edit tool such as special effects, cut & past, undo & redo, zoom in & out features. Select editing range: Defining a Range: Left-click on one side of the range portion that you want to select and drag the mouse to the left or right. You can also select a range from Locate and Selcet... dialog. Changing Range Boundaries: Hold down the Shift key and left-click on the range boundary that you want to move, and drag the boundary to its new location. You can also press Shift key and left arrow key or right arrow key to change range boundaries. You can also change a range boundaries from Locate and Selcet... dialog. Select All: Double-click in the wave view to select all the waveform you currently see. To selet entire waveform, click Edit menu and select Select All menu item. Selecting Only the Left Channel: Click menu Edit -> Channel Select ->Left menu item to select only the left channel. You can also riglt-click in waveform view to popup shortcut menu and select Select Left Channel menu item. Selecting Only the Right Channel: Click menu Edit -> Channel Select ->Right menu item to select only the right channel. You can also riglt-click in waveform view to popup shortcut menu and select Select Right Channel menu item. Selecting Stereo Channel: Click menu Edit -> Channel Select ->Both menu item to select only the both channel. You can also riglt-click in waveform view to popup shortcut menu and select Select Both Channel menu item. Copy & Paste & Cut & Delete & Trim & Silence Sounds: Almost these editing commands in Any Sound Recorder operate on the currently selected part of a sound. So you must select editing range using above methods at first,. and then perform these commands using edit menu or toolbar. Fade In & Fade Out & Invert & Reverse & Echo Effect Sounds: You can perform these effect commands like editing commands above. Undo & Redo: Undo&Redo information is stored as a temporary file on your hard drive. The undo&refdo number is only limited by the amount of free hard disk space. All changes are automatically saved as one or more files in your temporary folder as long as the waveform is open in Any Sound Recorder even after it been saved to disk.

	Save Sounds to File Any Sound Recorder can save recording or editing sounds to WAV, MP3, OGG format file. You can customize sound encoding parameters in Save, Save As or Save Copy As file save dialog or in File output encode page of Options dialog. See help document for more information.
